Cardiff International School and Kindergarten strictly follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum of England and is constantly under review, enabling us to respond to changes in the U.K. curriculum and offering a learning experience which is both fun and enjoyable for our students and teachers. The Primary School curriculum is structured to allow teachers to deliver both discreet lessons for Language and Mathematics and themed topic approach for all other subjects. As an international school, we are committed to ensuring that the teaching of the English language is paramount and planned and integrated across all subjects. The school is committed to regular student assessment which is shared with students and parents. This enables us to set realistic and achievable targets for student progression. For the teaching of Language and Mathematics, we group and set students according to their ability. This enables us to ensure that students receive the most appropriate learning depending on their ability and make the learning more targeted and focused on individual improvement. MISSION AND AIMS Mission Statement: To provide a happy, safe caring and stimulating learning environment where learners recognize and achieve their fullest potential, so that they can make a significant contribution to society. This Mission Statement document was produced in collaboration with parents and Key Stage 2 students. Their expectations form part of how we achieve our Mission Statement.
