وصف الشركة The Icon Learning Centre (ILC) is established to advance the competence and career aspirations of working professionals. ILC aims to play the role of a valuable learning partner of working professionals through structured learning pathways (degree, diplomas and certificate programs) made possible by the unique combination of practical industry knowledge integrated with general management skills. ILC is dedicated to meet the educational needs of working professionals and prepare them to realise business and career opportunities. KEY ELEMENTS OF ILC’ PROGRAMMES ILC brings three critical elements to our programmes, namely Qualified Faculty, Solid Experience in Learning and Training and Effective Programme Designs and Delivery that builds on ILC’s academic standards and rigour as a base to incorporate real world lessons. QUALIFIED FACULTY The programmes offered in the faculty are taught by highly qualified subject matter experts, and well regarded industry practitioners who have relevant practical experience facilitating and designing effective learning programmes. SOLID EXPERIENCE IN LEARNING AND TRAINING The training interventions designed are usually fully integrated with the programmes’ strategic goals and desired outcomes. Leveraging on ILC’s hall mark for interactive, discussion driven and thought provoking seminar-style teaching, we aim to provide our participants with the ability to translate the learning and insights into practice at the workplace. A variety of teaching methods such as role plays, simulations, case discussions, exercises and oral questioning will be employed in the training sessions to solicit direct, indirect and supplementary evidence of learning. The approach should go down well with all type of learners; who usually prefer a constructivist’s learning approach of self-discovery, rather than didactic instruction. EFFECTIVE PROGRAMME DESIGNS AND DELIVERY The experienced faculty, who are veteran educators in facilitating training and assessing learning outcomes, will tailor the respective programmes to meet the needs of the participants by adjusting the design and delivery as necessary, such as mix of cases versus lecture/discussions, team breakouts etc., to suit the learning patterns and behaviours of the participants to ensure relevance. Various learning activities, formative and summative assessments will also be employed in each programme to monitor and evaluate participants’ learning progress.
