Medical Commission Department is one of the Supreme Council of Health Departments. The main function of Medical Commission Department is to screen all the new comers to stay and work in Qatar for infectious diseases namely:
HIV
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis C
Syphilis
TB

Consumer Protection Department is responsible to:
Implement legislations governing protection of consumer rights, combat commercial fraud, protect competitiveness and prevent monopoly practices.
Take necessary measures and arrangements to protect the consumer as per the applicable laws and regulations.
Take necessary measures and arrangements to combat commercial fraud.
Co-ordinate and co-operate with consumer protection associations and civil society organizations involved in fields of consumer protection and education.
Monitor prices of commodities, services and materials in local markets, and prepare the necessary reports stating price trends locally and internationally.
Issue licenses required for promotional sales and discounts.
Take measures related to inspection and analysis to ensure full compliance with the standard specifications of commodities and goods offered in local markets to protect consumer’s basic needs against commercial fraud.

4) Whenever you do complain, it's important that you have as much evidence as possible.
- Name of the party against which you wish to submit your complaint, his address, work nature, violation type and place of complain
- A detailed statement of damage caused to you, if it is applicable
- A copy of the invoice must be presented when submitting the complaint. Without the original invoice or a copy thereof, Consumer Protection Department will not be able to consider the complaint.
The CPD treats complaints very seriously. You'll even receive a text message verifying your complaint reference so you can follow up later on. 5) If you're the face to face type of person, you can always go to the CPD office located in West Bay on Omar Al Mukhtar Street.
